My intimate drawings and paintings are meditations on the familiar and the passing of time. These places are my home: my gardens, river, woods. Living here for the past decade, I have found delight in witnessing nature’s transformation, its cycles and seasons. I have come to recognize early signs of change: an angle of light, a warming just before spring, the fading of late summer. Emphasizing marks and pattern, I strive to maintain a balance allowing my subject to emerge with my materials.
